There are two types of industrial injuries that can be caused.

Industrial Injuries Benefit
If you are working in the industrial sector and your job responsibilities entail risks you may be clouded by worries of your fate in the event of an unforeseen accident or injury.
There is no need to worry unnecessarily. You will be eligible for certain industrial injuries benefit if you met with such an accident while on duty hours at work.
Eligibility – You have to be employed with a company or an industry at the time of an accident that may have led to an injury or damage. You will be also eligible for the benefit in case you are injured with a disease while working for the industry. These may be asthma, bronchitis and deafness among others.
Compensation Amount – The mount of the compensation that you will get may depend on your age and the severity and the consequences of your injury. In UK there are different tables that are there of the estimated amounts that are to be paid. The amount that is fixed by the department depends on the percentage that is graded by the doctor about the severity of an injury or disease.
Industrial Injuries Advisory Council
The Industrial Advisory Council is an advisory board that provides information and related advice to the Secretary of State for the Department for Works and Pension in the United Kingdom.
Their advice and informative suggestions are related to the industrial injuries benefit schemes. The role that the IIAC plays can be defined in the following way.

They advice the Secretary of State in matters relating to industrial injuries benefits and the way it is administered as referred by the Secretary to the council.

They look into any regulation that the Secretary of State may consider implementing regarding the industrial benefit scheme or its administration procedures.
Industrial Injuries Scheme
The Industrial Injuries Scheme is a provision that gives non contributory benefits to those who are victims of disablement as a result of an industrial injury or a disease that they might have contracted at the place of work.
Any employee can claim the Industrial Injuries Disabled Benefit (IIDB) which is the main benefit of the scheme. A person has to have at least 14% of disablement except in case of certain prescribed diseases where the requirement is 1% only.
